Wow! What a fun time we had Saturday! We had lots of folks come in and take advantage of two designer lines bringing in all their styles so we could see them in person. We had a chance to try on styles and compare looks...there was even one customer wearing six rings at one time...she just couldn't decide which one to pick! We had a spread of food and refreshments and lots of smiles from our happy customers! Thanks to all who came out to enjoy the day!
Check out: Tips for Getting Off a Stuck Ring
On a trip into Summit Mall Wednesday evening, my husband, daughter and I crossed the path of two young women hunting for something in the parking lot at the entrance of the Macy's north doors. Curiously I asked what they were looking for. "I lost my diamond earring. It snagged when I was putting my purse on my shoulder" one of the women said sadly. They had been searching for almost an hour by that time!
I immediately sent my husband and daughter on ahead without me as I flipped my phones flashlight on. The women protested, but I happily continued to hunt explaining that "it is one of my specialties...hunting for small stuff!"
Within the next ten minutes, there were up to ten people scouring the ground for the lost earring. Every person that passed by stopped to help! The young woman was embarrassed at the trouble she thought she was causing. She explained, though, that it was a gift from husband for their first Christmas together. I heard reassurances from quite a few people that it was no bother! After all, haven't we all lost something that was valuable, and felt its loss, not because of its monetary value, but the sentiment attached to it?
A moment later, a gentleman stooped down and picked up something "Is this it?" IT WAS! He had found the earring! The young woman squealed with delight!
We each proceeded on our way, all wearing smiles, happy to have been a part of the moment!

The question is often asked "What is the best way to insure my new jewelry?"
Many people own their own homes and are able to add a "rider" to their homeowner's insurance policy.
In this event, the customer needs to contact their agent and discuss the specifics of cost, coverage, claims and necessary paperwork that the agency may need to cover the item(s).
We are able to supply an insurance appraisal, free of charge, with a new purchase from our store. We are also able to provide an appraisal for most any other jewelry item for a reasonable fee.
There is an alternative to using your homeowners insurance policy. We can refer you to Jewelers Mutual, one of the biggest names in Jewelers Insurance. They offer a personal jewelry insurance that covers against loss, damage, theft and even mysterious disappearance.
Jewelers Mutual has a 99% satisfaction rating in customer claims surveys. Visit www.JewelersMutualInfo.com and enter our jewelers code: A01962.
We carry Energizer batteries, which are 100% mercury free, and are also made in the USA.
What does this mean to you?
Traditionally, mercury was used in the manufacturing of nearly all batteries. Mercury is highly poisonous. It can cause neurological damage that can lead to insanity and death.
Starting in 1989, Energizer began eliminating mercury from some of their forms of batteries. It wasn't until 2008 that they were able to completely eliminate mercury from every battery they produce.
Many states are banning the sale and use of batteries containing mercury. Even though Ohio has yet to ban them, we believe it is important to the environment and to our customers, so we only carry Zero-Mercury Energizer batteries.
