We have our jewelry repair shop on the premises, and our watch repair is done in-house, too. We have a GIA Graduate Gemologist on staff for your appraisal needs.

How Long Will It Take...?
*We replace watch batteries and size watch bands while you wait.
*Jewelry repairs are on a three work day schedule.
*Appraisals and gem identification takes one to five days.

Appraisal Service

Appraisals are an important document used to prove value of an item, and also helps to identify ownership. We use all of the prescribed tools of the trade to determine identification and value of an item including 10X fully adjusted jewelers loupe, microscope, digital hydrostatic balance, Leveridge gauge, refractometer, spectroscope, high and low wave ultraviolet lamp, dichroscope, polariscope and thermal conductivity test. We compare our determined value with similar items for sale in the market place. We use every means necessary to give a fair and accurate value and/or identification. We also offer a photo appraisal if desired, for an additional fee.

  • Value established by calculating all the costs in rebuilding the item from new materials, if the item were to become lost or stolen.

• Fair Market Appraisal
  • Value established by calculating the item in its current condition. This appraisal would be useful for establishing value for resale.

• Estate Appraisal
  • Value established by calculating the item in its current condition. This appraisal would be useful for establishing value for Estate purposes.

• Gem Identification
  • We will determine what material the gem in question is formed of, and whether it is man-made, synthetic or natural. We may be able to determine whether the stone has been treated and with what type of enhancement it has had.
  • We will use all means necessary to determine identification and we will provide a detail sheet consisting of our findings.

*Due to the limitations in measuring mounted stones, weights will be estimated using Leveridge Gauge and mathematical formulas.

Jewelry Repair

We have a full service shop located in store, staffed by experienced, creative bench jewelers. We are able to design, build and then maintain all of your jewelry. We offer competitive pricing for work on gold, platinum, palladium and some silver jewelry.

Quartz Watch Repair

We are able to repair a select number of quartz watches. We are able to:

• clean and/or replace movements
• replace crystals
• tighten/replace crowns
• replace stems
• replace gaskets

We strive to be fair and honest in every aspect of our business. We have policies in place to ensure that everyone of our customers receives the best possible service. The following list is a guideline that we follow for the majority of situations, though, we understand that exceptions can be made based on a case to case evaluation.

Our Return Policy

• We are happy to offer a FULL REFUND within 6 days of receipt, provided the item is in new condition and the box, packaging and receipt is returned with the item(s).
• We are happy to offer full purchase price in EXCHANGE for another item within 30 days of receipt, provided the item is in new condition and the box, packaging and receipt is returned with the item(s).
  Note: We cannot accept altered, custom-made or special order items back for refund or exchange.

Our Layaway Policy

• We have a six month layaway plan.
  • We require ten percent deposit of the total price of the item(s).
  • We ask that you make at least one payment per month. We do not require that a percentage be paid each month, just that the layaway be paid in full within the six month term.
• With approval, a longer term of layaway is available.
• We reserve the right to charge a fee of no more than 15% of the item if layaway is cancelled or if above terms are not met.
• Layaways are not eligible for cancellation or exchange if the item is custom made or special ordered.

Repair Policy

• We reserve the right to accept or decline to repair your jewelry based on the overall condition and the probability of continued problems. We will perform some work if we attain a shift of responsibility.
• We will give full disclosure to the service we are providing and will give a free estimate before work is performed.
• We will warranty any repair that we have performed. Warranty does not cover repairs needed that are not directly related to the previous work performed.

Checking Stones

• We can only observe what wear and tear that has HAPPENED TO THE POINT that we check the item.
• We make a best guess as the condition of the prongs or item at that time.
• We make a judgment call, whether a mounting requires work or will last a while longer.
• We suggest that items be checked every six months.
  Note: We cannot predict what may happen in the future. We cannot be held responsible for what happens to an item after it leaves our sight. We also cannot be held responsible for the workmanship or materials in jewelry not purchased from us nor can we be responsible for the wearing habits of individuals.
